Formative Assessments occur daily in classrooms. These assessments provide feedback so that students, parents, and the classroom teacher know where the student is at in his/her knowledge of a specific skill. These are not included in the final grade. |
Summative Assessments are the end of each unit and assess the third grade POWERstandards. Students receive a score of 4,3,2, or 1, with 4 meaning the skill is "mastered" and 1 meaning "very little skill". These assessments are included in the final grade. |
